Aptly named after the ancient London heath, Hampstead Verdure is a welcome injection of nature within the closeness of the interior. Hampstead Verdure's clusters reach out in an arboreal embrace, introducing a leafy tranquility into any interior.   

Acorn was an early nineteenth century French figured silk in its original incarnation and is now a luxurious pocketed weave, lending itself to upholstery.

Aragon is taken from an eighteenth century Indo-Portuguese design, employing both ancient and medieval imagery, birds sit atop thistles, irises and grapevines which encircle an elaborately decorated urn.

Isla is a late sixteenth century design, taken from Elizabethan crewel work, which Watts redrew and wove as a cut velvet in 2007. Plum roses bloom on an iridescent vine, mimicking the dazzling effect of a peacock’s display of tail feathers.   

A more meandering iteration of the Bargello flamestitch, Zardozi’s rolling zigzag paints the interior with gentle undulations of colour.

c.1810. This early nineteenth century silk tapestry design has an acanthus leaf motif that was popular in fabrics of this period. 

c.1830. A grand Italianate cut velvet with a stylised foliage design. Striae cut silk velvet on textured golden woven silk gifts the bursting flowers an astounding effect.

This understated polka dot design is as delicate as it is versatile. A rich pile is nestled in rounds against a golden weave.
