The formation of Watts & Co. - a grand decorating house - in 1874, ensured clients a congruity of design from building through to interior decoration. Survival through the great wars, when most competitors failed (Morris & Co closed in 1940) was due largely to a strong reputation as ecclesiastical furnishers. Watts now thrives again in the secular market with a showroom at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, London, whilst the clergy continues to be catered for at WATTS AND CO'S original premises in Tufton St, Westminster, London.
